The Cuerden Park & Estate Office in association with Lancashire County Council will be supporting a major paths repair & resurfacing project this coming summer. This includes the main central path, cycle route from Kem Mill, Town Brow, river valley path, picnic area, continuing up to Wigan Road car park.
The proposed start date is 27th June; this work will unfortunately require at times closure of the Parks Paths and selected car parks for some weeks, under an Official Closure Notice applied by the County Authority. The work will be carried out in phases to avoid affecting the Park totally.
We understand the disruption and lack of access will cause some dismay to our regular Park visitors. However, we believe the end result will provide a much improved multiuser paths network welcomed by everyone.
Please help us and our contractors by keeping away from the work areas, and paths that are closed.
