About the Charity

Cuerden Valley Park / Our Charity / About the Charity

Cuerden Valley Park, created in the early ’90s from the former Cuerden Hall Estate, encompasses 650 acres of woodland, meadows, waterways and farmland. The park is a much loved haven for wildlife and a hidden gem in southern Lancashire.

The park is close to junction 29 of the M6, between Preston and Chorley and is easily accessible.

The park is owned and managed by Cuerden Valley Park Trust (Registered Charity No. 1002888).

It costs around £1,600 per day to maintain the park. We receive no funding from local authorities and instead must raise money each year to maintain the park.

Income from our wonderful Café, tenants and car park fees form the bulk of our income. We deliver a busy education programme and a mix of large and small events to generate funds.

How can you help?

We actively seek sponsorship from local businesses, individuals via donations, memorial planting and charitable grant programmes as part of a broad annual fundraising programme.
