Description

Our Bat Walks are back for 2025!

Are you ready to embark on a fascinating journey into the nocturnal world of bats? With a Bat detector in hand, you can witness first-hand the enchanting echolocation calls of these mysterious creatures. Our Bat Evenings are designed to educate and inspire people of all ages about the importance of bats in our ecosystem. With David Beattie at the helm, you’re bound to have a brilliant evening!

Please make sure to book children’s tickets too, so we’re aware of the total numbers.

Unfortunately, Dogs won’t be allowed on any of our guided walks as we don’t want to scare away any wildlife! All the nature reserves are protected areas, so we want to be as careful as possible; not to change anything.

The walk will be over the space of a couple of hours, so please dress appropriately to the weather conditions of the evening (a raincoat is a must!). We would also recommend Wellies or a pair of walking boots as the terrain will vary; you and your party will be walking off footpaths, so if you’re a little unsteady on your feet – this one might not be for you. The walk will also be 2-3km, so please be wary if you would struggle over that distance.

*Please make sure to bring your own light – headtorches are preferable.*

It’s a 20:00 start at Cuerden View Café, with an hour talk then we’ll be out in the park (bat detectors in hand) from 21:00 till 22:30.

£8 per person

Under 18’s come free

Bat Detectors are provided.

We hope to Echolocate you there!
