Work will be taking place to thin out the oak trees along the path between Town Brow and Covert Pond. Commencing this week, the work will continue for a period of around six weeks. Some of the oak trees being removed are diseased. Others will be felled because the trees are over-crowded and thinning out will allow the remaining trees to thrive. A felling licence has been issued by the Forestry Commission and footpath diversions will be put in place whilst the project is on-going. Thank you everyone for your co-operation.
